On Thursday I went to Berg’n in Brooklyn to attend an event for the #BlurbRoadShow. This event focused on the gay influence in the food culture, aesthetics, and food media; with people such as James Beard leading the way for fine dining and a broadening of food culture in the US. There was a panel of speakers including John Birdsall, who wrote a famous essay on gay food in America. It was interesting hearing different points of view on food and seeing what some of the panel was creating with Blurb.
In addition to the panel there was food, drinks, and an information display on many different kinds of Blurb books. I actually printed my MFA thesis book through Blurb and I have several other books available through their selling platform as well. They make great quality books and have tools that make it really easy to make. I am fond of the Lightroom integration. And their uncoated heavyweight paper is the best. Check em out, make a book or a magazine today!
