Road Trip – Utah to Wyoming

One the third day of our trip we headed into Wyoming from Utah. The leaves were changing so the drive through the mountains of Utah was amazing. On the fourth day when we left our hotel in Wyoming in the early morning it was raining. As we came around a curve in the freeway we saw a semi-truck smash into the center divider, flip on its side, and jackknifed across our side of the freeway. Luckily we were far enough away to be able to stop and warn other oncoming traffic. But we ended up having to sit on the freeway for a little over an hour waiting for it to be cleared enough to pass.

After that we headed into Laramie, WY, which was a pretty cool old little town. We ate a a delicious all-vegetarian restaurant called Sweet Melissa’s. It was attached to a bar and the prices for cocktails was amazing. I got an old fashioned for $4.75! We visited a couple thrift stores and old motels then headed into the ultra-boring drive through Nebraska.
