The amount of time we spend in front of screens nowadays is crazy. I know that personally I go from my computer to my phone throughout the day, and then the TV at night. And I usually am looking at some sort of screen from the time I wake up to the time I go back to bed. I started noticing that I would have headaches before bed every night, and often wake up with a headache. I usually have a whiskey before bed, so I definitely thought that was it, but I stopped that for a few days but still had the headaches. YES! I CAN STILL HAVE MY NIGHTLY WHISKEY!!! Then my wife turned me onto these eye glasses that block out a certain percentage of blue light that is emitted from screens. I ordered some from Amazon and immediately felt better after being in front of a screen. And the headaches stopped! Crazy. Now I always wear them when I am in front of my computer or TV, and I try with my phone but I also enable the night shift option on my phone. I have definitely noticed less eye fatigue since wearing them.
A bonus is that I have always wanted to wear glasses because I think they are such a great accessory and can really change a look. But I have had 20/20 vision my whole life so that was usually out of the question. And I always feel dumb wearing clear lenses, though I’ve tried. But now I think this is a good happy medium of using glasses that actually help me with my health, and allowing me to live my fantasy of wearing glasses.
